New Jersey Outpatient Treatment Center

Outpatient Program (OP) lets you receive structured care without pausing daily life. You live at home and attend scheduled appointments several times each week.

Schedules are designed around work, school, and caregiving, with day and evening options. Intensity can increase or decrease based on progress and safety.

Outpatient care can be an entry point into recovery, a step‑down after detox or residential treatment, or support to sustain change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is outpatient treatment right for me?

Outpatient treatment programs are best for those who are struggling with a mind to moderate level of addiction. It is also best for those who have a strong home life to ensure a person does not relapse down the line.

Our experienced team will be by your side to help you pick the program that works best for you. Addiction treatment is not a one-size-fits-all scenario and we want to make sure you have everything you need to heal.

If you’re experiencing withdrawal symptoms or need medical stabilization, a supervised detox is often the first step before beginning outpatient treatment.

At New Chapter Recovery, we offer on-site detox services to ensure your safety and comfort during this process.

Our team will support you through detox and help you transition smoothly into outpatient care once you’re ready. For those who do not need detox, you may begin outpatient treatment directly.

Yes. If at any point you need more intensive support, we can facilitate a transition to a higher level of care, such as partial hospitalization or residential treatment.

Your safety and progress are our top priorities, and we’ll help you find the right level of support at every stage.

What is the difference between OP and IOP programs?

The main difference between OP and IOP is the level of structure and time commitment required. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) involve more frequent sessions—often several hours a day, multiple days a week—providing a higher level of support and accountability.

Standard Outpatient Programs (OP) have fewer weekly sessions and are ideal for those who need flexible care while managing work, school, or family.

Both options offer evidence-based treatment, but IOP is best for those needing extra structure or stepping down gradually from higher levels of care.

We provide outpatient care for a wide range of substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioids, prescription medications, stimulants like cocaine and MDMA, and other substances.

Our team is experienced in addressing both single and multiple substance concerns, as well as co-occurring mental health conditions.

New Chapter Recovery’s outpatient program is unique because we combine personalized, whole-person care with a variety of therapeutic approaches—including spiritual and faith-based addiction recovery options.

Our experienced, compassionate staff tailors treatment to your individual needs, ensuring you receive the right mix of evidence-based therapies and support.

We offer flexible scheduling, strong aftercare, and a welcoming, judgment-free environment where your values, beliefs, and success are always respected and prioritized.
